Two teams sitting last in their respective divisions face off on the ice Saturday when the Ottawa Senators (22-26-2, 46 points, 8th Atlantic) visit the windy city and the United Center for a matinee against the Chicago Blackhawks (14-37-3, 31 points, 8th Central). Ottawa was defeated by the Anaheim Ducks 5-1 on Thursday, snapping a four-game winning streak for the Senators. Chicago was defeated by the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 on Thursday and the Blackhawks have lost each of their last eight. Ottawa is 18 points behind the second and final Eastern Conference wild card spot and Chicago is 29 points behind the second and final Western Conference wild card. Which means both are most likely not to make the postseason. Ottawa’s Jake Sanderson and Artem Zub are listed as day-to-day. Chicago will play without Anthony Beauvillier, Connor Murphy, Taylor Hall, Nikita Zitsev and Andreas Athanasiou.
