Our Black Book: Horse You Must Follow From Flemington 25/3
Our form analyst has looked over the replays & sectional times from Flemington on Saturday and has placed his list of horses you must follow below.
SOULCOMBE
Very solid performance to finish second to Goldman in The Roy Higgins after giving away a big start. That was only his third run back from a spell. If he heads to the Sydney Cup he looks nice value at $18 with TopSport as he’ll relish the 3200 metres.
LADY DI DI
Great run from this three-year-old filly at $151 for trainer Cliff Brown in the Sunlight Classic. She chased home five above average horses to finish sixth and she defeated a host of well performed horses. She’ll be hard to beat in a normal handicap against her own sex.
NUMERIAN
Tough run to almost lead throughout in the Australian Cup in a return to form. He’ll be to the fore in whatever he contests in Sydney and Brisbane in the months to come.
EL PATRONESS
Danny O’Brien’s stable is flying and with an ounce of luck she would have been in the finish in the Australian Cup. She’ll head to Sydney and if the heavens open she could again grab a big race at the Championships.
LUNAR FLARE
Finished off in great style in the Australian Cup from a long way . She’ll be ready to fire at her next start when Grahame Begg steps her up in distance.
