Palmer: Multiple F1 teams will look to sign De Vries

Palmer believes that multiple Formula 1 teams will be chasing Nyck de Vries after his debut at the Italian Grand Prix. De Vry was a late call-up by Williams after Alexander Albon fell ill. He finished the race in ninth place. The Dutchman has been linked to a full-time F1 switch for the 2023 campaign at Williams in place of Nicholas Latifi.

Williams is interested in signing de Vries for the 2022 season. Alpine has a vacancy for 2023, with Fernando Alonso leaving the team at the end of the year. Haas would prefer Kevin Magnussen's team-mate to have F1 experience. Alfa Romeo has not confirmed who will drive alongside Valtteri Bottas next year, but Zhou Guanyu is expected to be retained.
