Formula 1: Full driver lineup prediction for 2023 season

Zhou Guanyu has been confirmed as part of the 2023 Formula 1 driver lineup. Alfa Romeo confirmed that they had extended his contract through next year. AlphaTauri have confirmed Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda for 20th.

There are four open seats at each of Alpine, Haas, AlphaTauri and Williams.

Pierre Gasly is the favourite to replace Fernando Alonso at Alpine. Oscar Piastri will not join the team next year as he signed a contract with McLaren to drive for them. If Alpine can't sign Gasley, they will try to sign Nyck de Vries. Jack Doohan could get promoted.

AlphaTauri won't sign IndyCar driver Colton Herta. Nyck de Vries is a good replacement for Pierre Gasly. De Vry made his Formula 1 debut with Williams in Monza.

Williams will not sign Nyck de Vries full-time as Nicholas Latifi's replacement. They will sign Williams junior and Formula 2 driver Logan Sargeant.

Alpine are considering a loan of Jack Doohan to Formula 1 team.

Haas are the wild card in this year's silly season. They could still bring back Mick Schumacher for a third season, but if not, Daniel Ricciardo, Nico Hulkenberg and Antonio Giovinazzi are possibilities.

Hulkenberg has emerged as the recent favorite for a 2019 seat. Giovinazzi has been linked to a number of seats since he last competed full-time in 2019. Haas have said they won't wait for Ferrari to decide their second driver.
