Pelicans vs. Kings same-game parlay predictions Dec. 4: Bet on Fox, Sacramento for in-season tournament

Monday's in-season tournament quarterfinal action concludes with a matchup between the Sacramento Kings and the New Orleans Pelicans.

The pregame narrative: De'Aaron Fox struggled in his first two matchups against the Pelicans — as did the Kings as a whole — but the situation is different now that Sacramento is at home. In what is hopefully an energetic game, CJ McCollum should be active as a passer.

Pelicans vs. Kings same-game parlay

Parlay: Kings moneyline + Fox over 35.5 pts/reb/ast + McCollum over 5.5 assists (+420)

Kings moneyline (-155): The toughest part of the sell with this pick is that the Kings are 0-2 against the Pelicans so far this year.

But both of those games were played in New Orleans, and one of them was the latter half of a back-to-back for the Kings in which they had a rest disadvantage. So Sacramento had some factors working against it, and those factors should be nullified in tonight's home matchup.

The Kings are 6-2 at home this year, losing once against the Clippers (on a back-to-back) and once against the Warriors.

The Pelicans are just 3-6 on the road, and they've dropped three straight road games against dreadful teams (Jazz twice, Bulls). New Orleans has a minus-2.8 net rating as a visitor, which ranks 17th, per NBA.com.

Other parlay picks

Fox over 35.5 PRA (-177): Fox is averaging 30.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.6 assists through 13 games, which equates to 41.6 PRA per game. With that in mind, this slightly teased-down prop line seems awfully safe.

The catch is that Fox was not at his best in either matchup against the Pelicans earlier this year, topping out at 33 PRA. But the context of those games being on the road really matters for Fox.

The lightning-quick point guard has cleared this PRA line in all six home games this season, averaging 33.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists. In a game that should have a playoff atmosphere, expect Fox to put up some big numbers.

McCollum over 5.5 assists (+110): This line is enticing enough to back as a straight wager, but it's also a value worth adding to this parlay.

McCollum's assist floor is quite high given that he has five-plus assists in all eight games played this year. He posted a season-high eight assists last time out against San Antonio, and he'll see another fast-paced team tonight.

The Kings allow 9.0 assists per game to opposing point guards, per Fantasy Pros, which is the ninth-highest average in the league. Sacramento also yields the fourth-most total assists per game (27.6), which is good to know considering New Orleans relies on multiple facilitators.
