Pistons vs Bulls Prediction

The Detroit Pistons and the Chicago Bulls do battle at the United Center on Sunday afternoon.

The Detroit Pistons have been the coldest team in the league for a while now, but they are coming into this one feeling pretty good after taking down the Pacers in a 122-115 road win on Friday. Jaden Ivey led the team with 29 points and nine assists, Killian Hayes added 28 points with six assists and four steals while Cory Joseph chipped in with 18 points and five assists off the bench. As a team, the Pistons shot 48 percent from the field and 13 of 31 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 73 points in the first half to open up a 21-point lead which was enough to hold off a rally from the Pacers in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost four of their last seven games overall, but they will be eager to cap off their regular season with a win after taking down the Mavericks in a 115-112 road win on Friday. Coby White led the team with 24 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists, Patrick Williams added 23 points while Nikola Vucevic chipped in with 20 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Bulls shot 52 percent from the field and 11 of 31 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Mavericks in the early going and fell behind by 15 points, before they held the Mavericks to just 45 points in the second half to run them down and pull off the comeback victory.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pistons are 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine road games, 1-8 ATS in their last nine games following a win and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record. The Bulls are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games against a team below. 400.

Head to head, the under is 9-2  in the last 11 meetings overall, the Pistons are 0-6 ATS in the last six meetings in Chicago and the Pistons are 2-12 ATS in the last 14 meetings overall.

The Pistons are once again without a bunch of players including Isaiah Livers, Alec Burks and Bojan Bogdanovic, while the Bulls are resting DeMar DeRozan and they have Zach LaVine listed as questionable. The Pistons were good enough to upset the lowly Pacers in their last outing, but they were ice-cold before that win and I think they cap off their regular season with a loss as the Bulls take this one at home. The Pistons are only 2-12 ATS in the last 14 meetings overall and I’m backing that trend to continue here.
