Pittsburgh Pirates: Another Poor Mitch Keller Start Results in a Loss
Pittsburgh Pirates defeated Washington Nationals 9-4 on Thursday night. On Friday night the Pirates lost 7-2. The team is now 3-5 on the season. Mitch Keller pitched well, but he struggled with his control and his off speed stuff. He needs to improve his command or he will be removed from the starting rotation. The Pirates and Nats will play a best of two series for the rest of the weekend. Miguel Yajure pitched 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up his first career victory. It is possible that he could be the next pitcher to be benched. If not, the team will have to make some difficult decisions.
