Pittsburgh Pirates claimed first baseman Lewin Diaz off waivers from Miami Marlins. In the corresponding move, the Pirates designated utility man Hoy Park for assignment. Park came to the Pittsburgh Pirates from the New York Yankees along with Diego Castillo in exchange for Clay Holmes at the 2021 trade deadline.
