Predicted Manchester United line-up for Premier League clash vs West Ham

Manchester United will take on a high flying West Ham side on Sunday afternoon with the hopes of continuing a mini season revival. Here’s our predicted line-up.

Thursday night saw Manchester United involved in yet anothet high scoring, dramatic Premier League fixture in which Erik ten Hag saw his United side win 4-3 in the end.

Scoring four goals is a seriously impressive sign that United are finally learning to score, despite a host of other chances being missed.

West Ham pose a tricky task as Roy Keane has warned, and therefore a strong line-up is likely in order to move United back on track.

So ahead of a crucial game at Old Trafford in which United need to continue on a winning path, here’s our predicted line-up…

Manchester United predicted line-up to face West Ham

With this fixture being against a direct rival in the league, Ten Hag is bound to go strong and with that in mind the goalkeeping position is likely to remain belonging to Andre Onana.

At right back, Diogo Dalot should start in a bid to continue his impressive season in which his defensive work has seen a serious improvement, with the leagues best tackle success rate.

On the left, Luke Shaw‘s impact upon returning has been profound and it’s vital he retains his place to take on the Hammers, with the tricky Mohammed Kudus to face.

At centre-half, we hope that Ten Hag is right and the sight of Lisandro Martinez‘s foot being strapped was just precautionary – as per club media – if so, he should start here alongside Raphael Varane. The pair were really solid against Wolves with the 4-3 scoreline not doing them justice.

Moving into midfield, Casemiro should continue here, alongside the boy with “the world at his feet” according to Gary Neville, Kobbie Mainoo. The 18-year-old was the hero on Thursday night with a stunning goal in the dying moments to claim all three points.

Ahead of this pair – although it’s really more of a three – is Bruno Fernandes, the captain will be hoping the Wolves win wasn’t another false horizon and that he can lead his side into a good spell now.

On either wing, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford should start where they will interchange and swap to their hearts content. Both have impressed seperately in recent weeks and it’s clear that United’s attack is heading in the correct direction.

Rasmus Hojlund is the final name on the teamsheet but he’s one of the most certain right now. Ever since scoring against Aston Villa, he’s been on fire and in his last five games he has four goals and two assists.
