Premier League prop bets for Matchday 38: Bet on Harry Kane to score in the season finale

The Premier League’s final matchday is upon us with all 20 teams playing at 11:30 a.m. ET this Sunday.

The pregame narrative: Tottenham are in disarray but Harry Kane just won’t stop scoring goals. We’re backing him to find the net, and are fading one player and backing another in Chelsea’s matchup against Newcastle United.

Premier League odds as of 12:58 p.m. on 05/25/2023.

Premier League prop bets for Matchday 38

Best Bet: Harry Kane to score (-103)

After 434 appearances and a club-record 278 goals, this could be Kane’s last game in a Tottenham shirt. If that’s the case, he’s done the Spurs one last favour by ending his season on an absolute heater.

The 29-year-old striker has scored in nine of his last 11 Premier League starts with 10 total goals in that span. He’s found the net in four straight and that has the rumour mill on possible transfer destinations swirling.

Simply put, if you’re betting on a player to score, this is the best bet going right now. Erling Haaland had a historic year and won the Golden Boot but he’s on a cold streak, having scored just once in his last four games.

As of Thursday afternoon, the Norweigan is -122 to score on Sunday while Kane is a more palatable -103.

This is also a really good matchup for the Spurs. They’ll be playing a Leeds United side that’s conceded the most goals of any team in the EPL (74).

The Whites will be fighting for their relegation lives but we don’t think that’ll be enough to keep Kane out of the goal.

Leeds have allowed an average of 3.12 goals across their past eight EPL games.

Key stat: Kane’s 28 goals are the second most in the Premier League this season.

Quick picks

Wilson over 2.5 shot attempts (+115): Wilson has cleared this total in five of his last six Premier League games, including each of the past three.

He’s registered four or more shot attempts on four of those occasions, too, meaning we’re not exactly cutting things close on this prop.

Chelsea has generally been a solid defensive side this season but the Blues are well out of the mix for top four and Frank Lampard will be on the sidelines for his final game as interim manager. We’re not exactly sold they’ll put on a special defensive performance.

Aubameyang under 1.5 shot attempts (+105): Aubameyang used to be one of the Premiership’s biggest stars when he played for Arsenal but those years are well in the past.

The 33-year-old has just one EPL goal with Chelsea in 15 appearances and that came back in October 2022.

Aubameyang has gone under this total in seven of his past 10 appearances dating back to Matchday 15. He’s missed plenty of games in that span due to injuries and hasn’t played more than 65 minutes since last October.

If the striker plays on Sunday, which is no guarantee, expect him to fall under this mark.
