Premier League Top Four Odds: Liverpool @ 5/1 After Spurs Win

Liverpool moved up into fifth place after beating Tottenham 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller at Anfield. In light of the result, we’re taking a look at the latest Premier League top four odds.

Story Of The Game

It was certainly a super Sunday on Merseyside as Jurgen Klopp’s side scored a late winner in one of the most dramatic injury-time periods we’ve seen in recent times.

Once again it was another dreadful start to a game by Spurs and they found themselves 3-0 down inside 15 minutes for the second Sunday in a row.

Curtis Jones opened the scoring with a clever volley before Luis Diaz added a second. Mohamed Salah then scored a penalty after Cristian Romero fouled Cody Gakpo, and Liverpool were in dreamland.

Harry Kane pulled one back for Ryan Mason’s side in the 39th minute and the Reds went into half-time knowing that things weren’t done and dusted.

There was a few half chances in the earlier stages of the second-half, and Spurs started knocking on the door of the Liverpool defence hitting the post multiple times. Heung-min Son scored for the second game in the to make it 3-2 after a wonderful Romero pass.

In the grandstand finish that many watching on would have predicted, Richarlison equalised in 93rd minute as he headed in a Son free-kick. The Brazilian ripped his shirt off and jumped into the crowd full of ecstatic Spurs, resulting in a booking.

As Spurs thought they’d claimed an almighty point, Diogo Jota and Liverpool had other ideas. Jota latched onto a Lucas Moura loose ball and in the end claimed all three points for Klopp’s side. It was the most typical Spurs thing that could have happened with any hope of Champions League football all-but slipping away.

This victory meant that the Reds would leap-frog Spurs into 5th place, so read on to see the latest Premier League top four odds.
