The Wild are playing their first game of the season against the Avalanche at 3:00 p.m. at Xcel. The Wild roster is not all NHL-bound, but it will be an interesting mix of new faces and fan favorites. Colorado is coming off of a Cup-winning season and has less to prove than the Wild. Gabe Landeskog, Val Nichushkin, and Darren Helm are injured and out for the time being.
