THE Breeders' Cup is the world championships of racing and the action doesn't get any bigger than at Santa Anita this weekend.

The world's best and fastest horses will compete in a series of blockbuster Grade 1s with millions of dollars on the line.

Breeders' Cup preview

One of those who looks like an absolute superstar in the making is Tamara in the Juvenile Fillies.

Unbeaten in two, the Richard Mandella-trained filly couldn't be from better stock, with her dam, Beholder, winning this very race in 2012 and going onto become a Cup legend.

British trainers John & Thady Gosden look to have a good one in Inspiral in the Filly & Mare Turf.

She has much the best form and her speed will be an asset over an easy 1m2f that she'll relish.

While Gosden has won just about everything there is to win in racing, up-and-coming Epsom trainer Adam West could follow him into the big time.

Live In The Dream was a shock 28-1 winner of the Nunthorpe at York in August and has shown explosive speed out the stalls.

He can use his good draw in the Turf Sprint to ping the lids and make all the running to land his unheralded trainer another giant purse.

Sticking with the speedsters, Elite Power can turn the Breeders' Cup Sprint into a procession.

He is the class act of the dirt sprinting division and should be tough to beat.

Meanwhile, one to consider at a bigger price would be War Like Goddess.

She can claim a red-hot Turf which sees the likes of Epsom Derby hero Auguste Rodin and Juddmonte International king Mostahdaf, not to mention Frankie Dettori's King Of Steel.

War Like Goddess is a strong traveller who doesn't know how to run a bad race.

The six-year-old mare, trained by William Mott, has a bad draw but can drop in and finish well.

Another would be Brad Cox's Saudi Crown in the Classic.

Two noses away from being unbeaten he is totally unexposed and Cox is a specialist at the Breeders' Cup, winning nine races since 2018.
