Pro Bowl Skills Odds: Dodgeball Game Headlines New-Look Weekend

The inaugural Pro Bowl Games begin Thursday, and DraftKings Sportsbook has odds markets available for three of the competitions featuring your favorite NFL stars. Here’s all you need to know about each event paired with the best NFL odds.

While Super Bowl 57 is at the forefront for football fans this time of year, nothing moves the needle like the NFL, and the inaugural Pro Bowl Games skills competition is definitely going to draw plenty of attention.

The Pro Bowl was in dire need of a new look, and I'm encouraged by the decision to lighten it up with some playground-like games that should remind players and fans of their time in the middle-school gym or at the county fair.

Head coaches Payton and Eli Manning released who’ll partake in each particular competition Wednesday, and being able to liven things up with a splash of recreational betting makes DraftKings the life of the party.

Here’s a breakdown of Thursday’s events, including who is competing for each conference and the odds from DraftKings for who will win.

Pro Bowl Skills odds

Precision passing

All six Pro Bowl quarterbacks will battle it out in 60-second accuracy competitions, and the NFC is trading as the favorite through DraftKings.

Lightning round

Players will compete as partners in a three-part elimination challenge. The first event is a water-balloon toss dubbed the 'splash catch', which is followed by players trying to catch punts from a JUGS machine.

To conclude the competition, remaining duos will try to hit a target attached to a bucket over an opposing coach’s head. The winner of the “thrill of the spill” is the team that hits the target and dumps a bucket of water on the opposing coach first.

DraftKings has an even -115 vig for each conference.

Dodgeball

The NFL got it right with this event. Hopefully these stars still have some middle-school angst left in them and take some frustrations out on the floor or field ... or wherever these bouts are going to take place.

This is a multi-round tournament consisting of four teams. Each conference will have two five-player teams, one with defensive players and one with offensive players. The first round will be interconference matchups between the offensive and defensive teams, with the two winners advancing to an AFC vs. NFC showdown.

DraftKings has two betting markets available for this tournament. Each individual team has odds to win, and you can also wager on which conference will take down the Round 2 finale.
