Queen's hopes of Platinum Jubilee Epsom Derby win are dashed as horses pull out

The Queen's horse Reach for the Moon will not take part in the Cazoo Epsom Derby. Educator and General Idea will also miss the race. The Queen has never won the Derby as an owner. She came second in 1953. Her presence at the Jubilee celebrations was expected to be a highlight. The Cazaoo Derby will be held on June 4th as part of the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend. It is hoped Educators will give the Queen a consolation winner. William Haggas' horses will take a different route. He is hoping Educations will win the same day. Queen is expected at Epsoms.
