The Royals snapped a six-game skid prior to the All-Star break, and they’ll attempt to steal a few games against Tampa here at home. The Kansas City offense is scoring 3.35 runs per game, while batting .231, with a .295 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 5.29 ERA, with a 1.47 WHIP. Bobby Witt Jr. has recorded a hit in nine of the last ten games, and he leads KC in hits (93) and RBI (47), with thirteen homers. Salvador Perez had a hit in the game four win over Cleveland, and he leads the Royals in home runs (15), with 40 RBI.
Alec Marsh (0-2, 7.00 ERA, 10 Ks) will take the hill for Kansas City.
