Bobby Witt Jr. homered and tripled in the game three win, and he leads KC in hits (95) and RBI (48), with fifteen homers. Salvador Perez had four hits in the game loss to Tampa, and he leads the Royals in home runs (15), with 40 RBI.
Ryan Yarbrough (1-4, 5.29 ERA, 12 Ks) will get the call for Kansas City. The former Tampa pitcher returned to the mound just before the break, and put together his best outing in Cincinnati, holding the Reds to one run over six innings of work to earn his first victory. Yarbrough quickly became a product of the environment in KC, piling up losses immediately, but he’ll look to build on his last outing here in division action.
