Same again for Ancelotti’s men

Union Berlin are setting out on their first journey in the Champions League group stage and this could be a real baptism of fire for the Bundesliga outfit at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid have recorded five wins in five outings in La Liga – the perfect start for coach Carlo Ancelotti in his final season with the club before taking on the Brazil national job.

Scoring 10 goals and conceding three in that spell, Real have looked impressive, as they hope to wrestle the Spanish crown back off rivals Barcelona this term.

Union started their Bundesliga campaign strongly, but have hit a poor patch in the build-up to their trip to the Spanish capital.

Losing their last two games against RB Leipzig and Wolfsburg, Union’s confidence will have taken a knock going into Wednesday’s encounter.

Real have won three of their last four games with both teams getting on the scoresheet and the same to happen again here is available at an attractive 2/1.

Undesirable Real trend can continue

While Real have made a perfect winning start to the season, the La Liga giants have been doing things the hard way.

They have conceded the first goal in three of their five games this term, with Almeria, Getafe and Real Sociedad all bagging the opener inside the first 12 minutes in their respective matches.

The visitors will have looked at this trend of Real coming sluggishly out of the blocks and are well priced at 11/4 to score the opening goal of the game on Wednesday.

Bet builder worth considering

Much of the talk at the moment in Spain and beyond centres on the start Jude Bellingham has made at Real Madrid.

There were questions about the England midfielder and whether he would be able to make the step up from the Bundesliga and Borussia Dortmund to the glitz, glamour and spotlight at Real.

Those doubters have been quickly silenced, with Bellingham scoring five goals in his first five appearances for Los Blancos.

Playing at the tip of a midfield diamond, Bellingham has been finding pockets of space in and around the box and has been producing poacher-like finishes.

Tall, powerful and still just 20 years of age, Bellingham is likely to prove a handful for a Union Berlin defence that have failed to keep a clean sheet in the Bundesliga this season.

Bellingham to score any time is the first part of our bet-builder selection, while Antonio Rudiger to be booked is the second.

The former Chelsea man is no stranger to a rough tackle or two and has already picked up two yellow cards in La Liga this season.

The Germany defender might well want to make a few statement challenges against his countrymen and it would be little surprise to see him get booked.

A Bellingham goal and a Rudiger card comes in at an attractive price of just under 9/1 here.
