Secret State cut for St Leger glory after impressive handicap success

Secret State won the Cazoo St Leger handicap by a length and a quarter under William Buick. His odds for the Classic were slashed to 8-1 from 12- 1. Secret State's mother Jacqueline Quest won a Guineas in 2010 at 66-2. Charlie Appleby won St. Lege last year with Hurricane Lane. He is planning to take Secret state to the Great Voltigeur.

Oscula won the Oak Tree Stakes for trainer George Boughey. The three-year-old won a Group 3 race in August. She will target the Prix de la Foret on Arc day at Longchamp in October.  

Trillium won the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes. Secret State is cut for St Leger glory after impressive handicap success. Trillum could be aimed at next month's Prix Morny at Deauville.

Jim Crowley won the Sussex Stakes on Baaeed and the Qatar International Stake on Lady Princess. The Qatar Staking is worth £226,840 to the winner. Crowley had previously won on her in Abu Dhabi and Qatar. He had problems with traffic at the furlong pole.
