The PGA Tour stays on the island of Hawaii, as Waialae Country Club hosts the Sony Open.
Full fields are back, with 144 of the world’s finest players teeing off – many for the first time this year – following last week’s Signature Event.
Like The Sentry, this event has been won with plenty of birdies, and nobody has shown that more than Justin Thomas in 2017, when he triumphed on 27-under-par.
That gives players the perfect chance to ease into the new season, especially the likes of Robert MacIntyre, who will make his first start since earning his tour card.
As well as producing quality golf on a yearly basis, the Sony Open has built a reputation for its charitable work.
It annually benefiting over 100 not-for-profit organisations each year and has raised $23 million for over 350 local organisations.
And with a stunning backdrop for golf, it’s readily clear why this has become such a popular stop on tour, so here is everything you need to know…
