The Indiana women's basketball team is near the top of the list of favorites to win the NCAA basketball championship in 2023-24.
According to BetOnline, the Hoosiers have 14/1 odds to win the title. Only defending champion LSU (3/1), UConn (5/1), Iowa (7/1), South Carolina (9/1) and Utah (9/1) are ahead of IU.
Fellow Big Ten foes Ohio State (18/1), Maryland (25/1), Nebraska (100/1), Michigan (125/1) and Illinois (150/1) were listed behind Indiana. Purdue was not included. Notre Dame has 25/1 odds to win the 2024 title.
The Hoosiers are coming off a 28-4 season where they won the outright Big Ten regular season championship and earned its first NCAA tournament No. 1 seed in school history. In the first round of tournament play, IU beat No. 16 Tennessee Tech but was upset in the second round by No. 9 Miami.
Coach Teri Moren was also named the AP National Coach of the Year, which was a first for the program.
