Steve Nash was fired as Brooklyn Nets head coach on Tuesday afternoon. The Nets are 2-5 this season and their defense is not improving. DraftKings Sportsbook shortened the odds on Brooklyn to win the Eastern Conference to +400. Ime Udoka or Quin Snyder are in line to replace Nash. Udokas is currently serving a one-year suspension from the Boston Celtics. Snyder resigned as head of the Utah Jazz in 2022. He was an assistant coach under Nash in 2020-21.
