Newmarket betting tips

1.15: Adayar 6/5 (NAP)

Adayar was odds-on for this race when it was scheduled for Sandown but after being abandoned appears in the first race of the day on Sunday for the Guineas Festival finale.

William Buick and Charlie Appleby should keep the wins coming for Godolphin with this well-backed five-year-old.

Who came second to Bay Bridge in October, still finishing ahead of Baaeed and My Prospero.

Long break won't be a concern like with other horses as this horse won in September after a 327-day break by over three lengths.

Soft ground is not an issue either, with a win at Nottingham on soft and placed close to Torquator Tasso on heavy in the Arc.

Meaning you don't need to check the weather to decide whether or not to back this horse.

3.00: With The Moonlight 9/2

Hard to see this Godolphin horse not impress on return to Britain since the Oaks at Epsom last June.

Went abroad after that disappointing run and has been incredibly consistent while also going back down in trip to between 1m and 1m2f.

Notable wins coming from Meydan earlier this year in Group 2 filly company and by over four lengths on second last run ahead of Lyrical Poetry when odds-on favourite.

Bumped into In Italian at Keeneland latest in the Jenny Wiley Stakes (Grade 1) and that favourite justified short odds beating this horse by three lengths.

But With The Moonlight stuck with her own task and was clear enough of the rest of the field to suggest this is winnable.

1000 Guineas, 3.40: Mammas Girl 9/1

Mammas Girl is another Amo Racing-owned horse that has bags of potential.

She's by Havana Grey who has had some huge success with his progeny recently and with just two runs to her name she's still dangerously unexposed.

Her second run came just last month when beating Fairy Cross by nearly three lengths in impressive style.

That was the ideal preparation race and last year's winner of the 1000 Guineas, Cachet, also utilised the Nell Gwyn Stakes as a preparation race.

Mawj & Lezoo 16/1

Cachet won last year at an SP price of 16/1 under James Doyle for Highclere Thoroughbred Racing and despite top-class form was somewhat overlooked coupled with a perfect ride and passage through to win by a neck.

The level of horses entering into this though, they all have superior form up until the bigger prices of 33/1 and over where there are the odd blip.

Especially in comparison to the otherwise perfect form of the front-runners.

But it's rare to see the out and out favourite win this race, only Minding at 11/10 has won at a short price over the past 14 renewals.

Siding with one or two at the bigger price can still yield a great profit or return on investment and Lezoo and Mawj could be the ideal candidates.

Both comes from top yards, ridden by top jockeys and have great recent form.

Mawj took a huge step forward at Meydan and beat Fairy Cross by over eight lengths in February and could continue to improve.

Lezoo has both been beaten by Mawj and won over the Godolphin horse previously and also boasts a record of 11211.

Including a win over Meditate, the second favourite, in September's Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes.

Crucially, Oisin Murphy is set to ride Mawj and has the ability to perfectly deploy the Godolphin horse.

The same can be said for Frankie Dettori on Lezoo, who has ridden the Beckett-trained horse three times already.
