The Total Stability Score is determined from five stabilizing factors: Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator and Quarterback, and Overall Returning Starters.

There are more teams with unstable situations this season because of the super senior rule. Last year, many teams brought back fifth-year seniors. This year there are just 15 such teams.
