top outright predictions for the season

The start of the 2023-24 NBA season is just around the corner, making this the perfect time to get into the outright prediction for the season. With many movements within the league in the offseason, things are getting more interesting, and we are giving our try in predicting what is going to happen in the upcoming season.

2023-24 NBA Top outright predictions for the season

Last season, the Denver Nuggets won their first ever NBA championship, Joel Embiid finally beat Nikola Jokic in the MVP race and not many could have predict things to roll that way. Now going into the 2023-24 season, we are giving you three outright predictions for the season with the reasoning behind it.

Milwaukee Bucks to win the championship @ +380 at FanDuel

The Bucks were stunned in the last year’s Playoffs, losing to the Miami Heat in the opening round, even though they had the best record in the league in the regular season. Giannis Antetokounmpo is in his prime, and the Bucks were good to go with him. But what the Bucks did in the offseason, took them from being a contender to being the favorites to win the championship. Landing Damian Lillard in a trade give them an elite scorer which will take the load from the Greak Freak who will be able to do things his own way on the court. It is too early to call Antetokounmpo and Lillard one of the best duos that have ever played, but after the season, that may become legit.

Luka Doncic to win the MVP @ +550 at FanDuel

Doncic is a real superstar since he stepped his foot on the NBA court. The Dallas Mavericks point guard was named in the All-NBA First Team in the last four seasons and he is still only 24 years old. The Mavericks had a difficult season last year, failing to make the Playoffs which is inexcusable for a team that has Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Doncic is constantly on the radar of the opponent’s defenses but despite that, he is ready to take over the league this season. He will play with a chip on his shoulder and will prove that he can take the Mavs to the top of the league. His individual numbers are not questionable as he averaged 32.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and 8 assists per game last season. He will definitely be close to those numbers and if the Mavs are among the top 4 teams in the regular season, Doncic may be our next MVP.

Scoot Henderson to with Rookie of the year @ +400 at FanDuel

Henderson was overshadowed by Victor Wembanyama on draft night, but the Blazers’ third pick may not allow that to happen when the season starts. The Blazers made a room for the point guard by trading Damian Lillard, and Henderson will have the ball in his hands from day one. Knowing that the Blazers are in a rebuild mode, Henderson will get a chance to do whatever he wants on the court and he may use that to put up numbers that will top Wembanyama’s production in San Antonio and win him the rookie of the year award.
