Ty France, Carlos Santana, Cal Raleigh all homer vs. Tigers

The Mariners beat the Tigers 9-3 on Tuesday. The win pushed them to 13 games above .500. They are now half a game behind Tampa Bay for the overall lead with 33 games remaining.

Ty France, Carlos Santana, Cal Raleigh and Seattle's other players all homered in Seattle-Detroit game. France had his first three-hit game since July 25. Every starter but Jesse Winker had a hit. Seattle did its most damage in the third inning against Matt Manning.

Ty France, Carlos Santana, Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodríguez all homer against Tigers. George Kirby pitched five shutout innings with two hits and one walk. Chris Flexen pitched for the first time since August 19. He got his first out in the sixth to trigger an $8 million vesting option on his contract.  The Mariners have a 2.67 ERA in their last 18 games. They have 18 starters who have pitched at least five innings. The team is 12-6. It's second-best in MLB behind the Dodgers. A.J. Hinch praises Kirby.
