While UFC 295 lost a superfight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic, it did gain two epic title fights featuring the top fighters in their divisions. Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira compete for the UFC light heavyweight title, while Sergei Pavlovich and Tom Aspinall fight for the interim UFC heavyweight title. UFC 295 takes place at Madison Square Garden and will air on ESPN+ PPV on November 11.

The main event of UFC 295 was Jones vs. Miocic for the UFC heavyweight title, but Jones suffered an injury while in training. “Bones” will be out of action for eight months and is expected to fight Miocic around International Fight Week. Meanwhile, Miocic has not fought since March 2021. 

A Czech National Championship gold medalist in Muay Thai, Prochazka made his pro debut in 2012, He would win the RIZIN light heavyweight title in 2019 in the middle of his current 13-fight win streak, and has remained on terrific form. Making his UFC debut in 2020, Prochazka last fought in June 2022, beating Glover Teixeira for the UFC light heavyweight title. He later relinquished the belt after suffering an injury to his shoulder. The 31-year-old has won all but one fight via some form of finish during his win streak. 

Pereira turned pro in 2015. After losing his first fight, he won seven in a row and is 5-1 in the UFC. At UFC 281 in New York, the Brazilian beat kickboxing rival Israel Adesanya via TKO for the UFC middleweight title. In a rematch in April 2023, Adesanya regained the title via knockout. Instead of competing in a trilogy, "Poatan" made his light heavyweight debut in July, beating former champion Jan Blachowicz. 

Pavlovich, who is ranked second in the heavyweight rankings, turned pro in 2014. A Fight Nights Global heavyweight champion, the Russian joined the UFC in 2018 and lost his first fight for the promotion against Alistair Overeem. Pavlovich has won six in a row since, with all if those wins via knockout. His last contest was a TKO win over Curtis Blaydes in April.

Aspinall, ranked fourth, made his pro debut in 2013. Competing for BAMMA and Cage Warriors, the Manchester-born fighter joined the UFC in 2020 and is 6-1 with the promotion. Aspinall tore his MCL and meniscus against Blaydes in July 2022 when he planted his foot back on the canvas following a leg kick. He returned to action in July, beating Marcin Tybura via TKO.

UFC 295 is on November 11. The early prelims start at 6 p.m. ET, with the prelims at 8 p.m. ET. The main card is at 10 p.m. ET. Prochazka and Pereira should make their way to the octagon around 12:15 a.m. ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last.
