The College Football Playoff is a month and a half away, and teams are clamoring for a spot in the coveted four-team bracket and the chance to win the national championship.

In the latest rankings released on Tuesday, Georgia overtook Ohio State for No. 1 while No. 3 Michigan (the favorite at many sportsbooks) and Florida State round out the top four. Alabama lurks down at No. 8, but is No. 3 on most odds boards.

Below are College Football Playoff odds, rankings and picks as of Nov. 14.

Latest College Football Playoff odds, rankings and best bets

Florida State CFP odds: (+900 or better)

FSU has not been ranked No. 1 this entire season but is the largest favorite to make the College Football Playoff (-270 or better).

Michigan national championship odds: (+220 or better)

The Wolverines got a huge win on the road against Penn State over the weekend and, as a result, remained a top contender to make the CFP.

Georgia college football playoff odds: To win national title (+250 or better)

The Bulldogs are also in a strong position to make the playoff but could come under threat if they lose to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game (or any time before that).

Other CFP outlook and odds

Out West, Oregon (+900) and Washington (+1300) are behind Alabama (+750) and Ohio State (+800) in odds to win the national championship but are ahead in odds to qualify for the CFP.

The Huskies beat the Ducks 36-33 earlier in the year, but the two are on a crash course for a rematch in the Pac-12 Championship.

Texas (+1800) is the only other team with realistic odds to win the CFP. Louisville, Oklahoma, Oregon State, and Iowa also made the odds board.

2024 College Football Playoff best bet: Keep an eye on Oregon (+900 or better)

The Ducks made the 2014 national championship game, only to fall to Ohio State, 42-20. This finally seems like the year they can avenge that loss with a talented roster and coach who has his team humming.

Oregon scores more points per game (46.3) than every team and is 12th in average points allowed (17.1). They also have an excellent blend of abilities and are second in passing yards and 15th in rushing yards per game. They also average 12 yards per completion and 6.1 yards per carry.

The Ducks are also great at situational football. They have the fourth-highest third-down conversion percentage and are 26th in third-down defense. And on top of all that, QB Bo Nix (313.5 yards per game, 29 TDs, two INTs) is the Heisman frontrunner.

The obvious concern for Oregon is that as things stand, they’d likely miss out on the CFP to undefeated Washington (the only team to beat Oregon thus far).

However, the Huskies have not been quite at their best in recent weeks, and Michael Penix Jr. has four interceptions in his last four games, while Oregon has won four games comfortably since the UW loss.
