Oregon and Washington’s Week 7 matchup was arguably the best regular-season game of the year. Bo Nix and Michael Penix threw for 300+ yards, and Ducks kicker Camden Lewis missed a 43-yard field goal that would’ve sent it to overtime. Instead, the Huskies came out on top 36-33.

Fans had their fingers crossed for a rematch in the Pac-12 Championship, and the teams delivered. Nix and Penix each have top odds to win the Heisman, adding another exciting element to the must-see showdown.

No Jonathon Brooks, no problem for the Longhorns. Brooks was out vs. Texas Tech last week with a torn ACL, but that didn’t stop the Longhorns from pouring it on in a 57-7 whomping of Texas Tech.

Arch Manning even saw the field for the first time this season, completing two of five passes for 30 yards. The Longhorns are on the outside looking in at the College Football Playoff picture, meaning Texas needs to win big for a chance at the National Championship.

Oklahoma State trailed BYU 24-6 at halftime in Week 13 and stormed back to win in double overtime to clinch a Big 12 Championship berth. It was a poetic end to a Cowboys’ regular season that saw a 33-7 loss to South Alabama, a 45-3 setback vs. UCF, and an upset victory over Oklahoma.

Pick: Texas covers the spread in a blowout.

Georgia is guaranteed to make the CFP with a victory, and it’s hard to believe the selection committee would overlook an SEC Championship win if Alabama beats the Dawgs.

The SEC Championship nearly lost much of its luster when the Crimson Tide were in danger of suffering one of the most heartbreaking upsets of all time. Rather, Jalen Milroe and Isaiah Bond connected for a touchdown on 4th-and-31 to give Alabama a 27-24 win vs. Auburn.

Georgia was also on upset alert in Rivalry Week and even trailed Georgia Tech by three points after the opening quarter. Kendall Milton’s 156 rushing yards and two touchdowns earned the Bulldogs an eight-point triumph, setting up a highly-anticipated clash with Alabama.

Pick: Georgia pulls away late to cover the spread.

A Kyle McCord interception with 25 seconds remaining sent Michigan Stadium into a frenzy, clinching a third straight Wolverines victory over Ohio State.

Up next is the obligatory Big Ten East stomping of the Big Ten West in the conference title game. The West last won the Big Ten in 2012, and the East has won the last five matchups by two possessions or more.

Iowa’s defense is stellar, allowing only 12 points per game, while its offense ranks second-worst in the Big Ten. Michigan is one of the most complete teams in the nation, ranking 10th in P5 points scored and first in points allowed.

Pick: Michigan’s revenge tour rolls on with a 30+ point win.

Florida State seemingly had the easiest path to the College Football Playoff until a devastating season-ending injury struck Heisman candidate Jordan Travis in Week 12. The Seminoles may earn a perfect 13-0 record with an ACC Championship victory and still miss the CFP if they don’t win handily.

FSU ground out a 24-15 win over Florida in its first full game without Travis. Backup quarterback Tate Rodemaker was shaky, completing 48% of his passes for 134 yards.

Louisville had an outside chance at making the playoff going into Rivalry Week until a home loss to Kentucky ended those dreams.

Pick: Florida State has more motivation to win and will beat the Cardinals (and cover the spread) in a game that goes down to the wire.
