Carlos Alcaraz is a 19-year-old Spanish tennis player. He has won four tour titles this season. Alaraz made it to the French Open quarterfinals. The US Open 2022 is taking place at Flushing Meadows on June 14-16, 2022.

Matteo Berrettini has won seven titles on tour, none of them on hardcourt. He lost in the opening round of both US Open warmup events. Berretini is 8-7 on the hard court this season.

Jannik Sinner is a +1,800 favorite to win the US Open 2022. The world No. 13 has a 19-5 record this season. He lost to Djokovic in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon. Sner won the Croatia Open on the back of the Wim Championships.

Cam Norrie is now the world No. 9. He lost to Djokovic in the 2022 Wimbledon semifinals. Norie also lost in Los Cabos Open final and Cincinnati Open semifinal.

Dominic Thiem is a former champion in the event, but he has a 7-9 record in 2022. He has been forced to withdraw from the Cincinnati Open for a second straight year. Thien is playing in Winston-Salem Open and has an upcoming quarterfinal.

Medvedev is looking to become the first back-to-back winner since 2007-08. Roger Federer won five times on the bounce from 2004-2008.

Nadal is trying to win three majors in the same season for the second time. He has won three major titles in a calendar year once before, back in 2010. Nadal would repeat that feat with a victory at the 2022 US Open.
