USF Bulls Preview 2022: Season Prediction, Team Breakdown

USF Bulls are preparing for the 2022 season. Head coach Jeff Scott is in his third year at USF. USf finished with a record of 2-10 and the Conference was 1-7.

The Big 12 added Cincinnati, Houston, and UCF from the American Athletic Conference for next year. USF is feeling left out of the party. The program was strong in 2018 and won 21 games between 2016 and 2017. Head coach Jeff Scott hasn't been able to right the ship.

USF Bulls averaged just 351 yards and 23 points per game last season. Jeff Scott's new offensive coordinator Travis Trickett has ten starters back. Gerry Bohanon from Baylor will replace Timmy McClain as the team's quarterback. Xavier Weaver led the wide receivers with 41 catches and averaged 17.4 yards per catch. Ajou Ajo came from Clemson. The offensive line is good, especially for the interior. The backs are in place with everyone of note back, including Jaren Mangham, Kelley Joiner and Brian Battle.

USF Bulls finished 123rd in the nation last season, allowing 476 yards and 35 points per game. The team went heavy in transfer portal with five new guys coming in to work on the inside. Minnesota’s Rashad Chaney should be the best nose tackle. Jason Vaughn will get the first look on one end. Antonio Grier and Dwayne Boyles are the team's best 1-2 middle linebacker. Vincent Davis and Mekhi LaPointe are good tacklers.
