UTSA vs Tennessee Prediction

The UTSA Roadrunners and Tennessee Volunteers face off Saturday in a Week 4 college football showdown at Neyland Stadium.

Will Frank Harris Play?

The big question for UTSA heading into this game is the status of quarterback Frank Harris. Harris hurt his big toe two games ago and against Army, he wasn’t able to go. Eddie Lee Marburger did fell in and he actually played pretty well. He completed 17 of his 25 passes for 239 yards and three touchdowns. Even though he played well, Harris gives this team the best chance to win, and everyone hopes that he’s going to be healthy enough to go in this game. The Roadrunners are averaging 21 points while their defense is giving up 22.23 points per game.

Can Joe Milton Be Better?

Tennessee comes into this game with a 2-1 record, but they are coming off a bad loss in the last game Florida. They were favorites heading into that game, but the offense only managed 16 points and that led to the 13 point defeat. Joe Milton completed 20 of his 34 passes for 287 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Milton hasn’t been good enough this season and he’s what is currently holding this team back. The Volunteers are averaging 31.7 points while their defense is giving up 18.3 points per game.

Shane’s Free Pick

Even if Frank Harris doesn’t play in this game, UTSA is going to keep this game close. Milton isn’t the answer for Tennessee and although he might have a better game here, this isn’t going to be a game where the Volunteers put up 40 points. Look for UTSA to find a little bit of offensive success against the Tennessee defense and that is going to be enough for them to get the job done. Back UTSA against the spread.
