Vanderbilt vs. Wake Forest odds, line, picks: Advanced computer model reveals predictions for Saturday's college football matchup

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons host the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday in Winston-Salem, N.C., as both teams try to remain unbeaten in the 2023 college football season. The Commodores (2-0) will hit the road for the first time after kicking off the season with a 35-28 victory against Hawaii and beating Alabama A&M 47-13 last Saturday. Wake Forest (1-0) opened with a 37-17 home victory against Elon on Aug. 31. The Demon Deacons beat Vandy 45-25 in Nashville last season.

Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. ET at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium. The latest SportsLine consensus Vanderbilt vs. Wake Forest odds list the Demon Deacons as 10-point favorites, and the over/under for total points scored is 57.

Before you make any Wake Forest vs. Vanderbilt picks or college football predictions, you NEED to see the predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. The proprietary computer model is off to a fast 4-2 start on all-top rated college football picks this season. Since its inception, it has generated a stunning profit of more than $2,500 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows the Deacons will have a some extra rest after opening their season on a Thursday night. Quarterback Mitch Griffis had 329 passing yards and three TDs in the victory against Elon. Jahmal Banks and Cameron Hite combined for 199 receiving yards, and each scored a touchdown. The Deacons have won 12 of their past 14 home games, and the offense should be able to put up points against a Vandy defense that gave up 36 per game in 2022, 125th in FBS.

The model also has considered that Vandy is making progress under coach Clark Lea. The Commodores went 5-7 last season, his first in charge, after going 2-19 over the previous two seasons. Quarterback AJ Swann has 452 passing yards, with five touchdowns and no interceptions, in the first two games. Receivers Jayden McGowan and Will Sheppard both have 12 receptions, and they have combined for 252 receiving yards. Sheppard has scored four touchdowns this season.

Now, the model has set its sights on Saturday's Vanderbilt vs. Wake Forest matchup. We can tell you it is leaning over on the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in well over 50% of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college football picks!
