Volpatti Returns to D.C. As Part of Book Release
Washington Capitals alumnus Aaron Volpatti returned to town this week to promote his book, FIGHTER: Defying the NHL Odds. On Nov. 7, he attended the Capitals' practice. First responders were invited to the practice and they took a team photo with Vol patti and the team.
Washington Capitals alumnus Aaron Volpatti returned to town this week in conjunction with the release of his book, FIGHTER: Defying the NHL Odds. Vol pours his heart out in the book. He had to become comfortable with opening up and sharing his story with others. The most challenging part of the writing process was the editing. He kept his injury a secret from his family. It was therapeutic for him. His book helps him to cope with his own problems. he hopes to help others in similar situations. "I didn't realize how therapeutic it would be to go back and go through those times"
