Washington Capitals first NHL team to launch Little Free Library
Caps launch Little Free Library at MedStar Capitals Iceplex practice facility in Arlington. Fans are encouraged to share their favorite books. The Little free library contains books for all ages written by Capitals alumni and some that players consider their favorites. It's located in the lobby of the practice centre.
Hockey titles included in the Capitals Little Free Library launch include: As Fast As Her, Dream Big, Break Barriers, Achieve Success by Kendall Coyne, Game Change, The Life and Death of Steve Montador, and the Future of Hockey by Ken Dryden, Dare to Make History, Chasing a Dream and Fighting for Equity by Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson and Monique Lamour-Morando, Hockey Moms: The Heart of the Game by Theresa Bailey and Terry Marcotte, Dennis Maruk, MegaleZ is for Zamboni: A Hockey Alphabet by Matt Napier, 100 Things Capitals Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die by Ben Raby and Brady Brady: All-Star Hockey Collection by Mary Shaw.

Players selected the following books: Eleven Rings: The Soul of Success by Phil Jackson, The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson, Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark Sullivan, Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey, Chicka Chika Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault, and Prisoners of Geography: Ten Maps That Explain Everything About the World by Tim Marshall.
