Wales' wait for a World Cup win goes on
Wales lost 32-6 to Tonga in the Rugby League World Cup semi-final. They have lost nine straight World Cups. Unless they beat Papua New Guinea next week, their wait for a World cup victory will extend through to the next tournament in 2025. Wales was once rich with top-tier talent but the squad assembled by head coach John Kear is drawn from semi professional game. The team is made up of 12 out of 24 players that are Welsh born.
