Warriors vs. Nuggets: Predictions, props and best bets 11/8/2023

Two of the best Western Conference teams will square off tonight. The (6-2) Warriors head to Denver to take on the (7-1) Nuggets. This matchup features the previous two NBA Finals winners and both teams have the stars, the skill and the know-how to make it back come June.

In the early 2023-24 season, the Warriors have shown they are a title contender. The two big wins for this team come against their Northern California rival, the Sacramento Kings. Their two losses are against the Suns and Cavs who should both make the playoffs. The Warriors can truly make a statement tonight by beating the Nuggets. With that being said, this is the Warriors’ eighth game in their eighth different city which has to be taxing.

Stephen Curry has been phenomenal to start the season. He’s averaging 30.9 points a game which is fourth in the NBA. Even more impressive, he is shooting 47.5% from three. He’s hitting nearly half his shots from deep. Currently, Curry is averaging 5.9 threes a game on 12.4 attempts. Last time out, we cashed in on the over on Curry’s three-pointers made. His ability to seemingly score at will should help keep the Dubs in this game if they fall behind.

Despite the Warriors’ dominance, the title “Best in the West” belongs to the Nuggets. They have walked through top teams in the West like the Lakers, Clippers and Mavericks without too much trouble. Some may argue that their best test comes tonight.

Denver will be without Jamal Murray who is expected to miss a few weeks with a hamstring injury. His loss will certainly be noticed, but it’s hard to find someone on the Warriors who will stop the Nuggets’ best player, Nikola Jokic. His size alone gives him an advantage at the rim versus the Warriors. In his last game, Jokic scored 35 points with 14 rebounds and 12 assists. He notched his 108th career triple-double, passing LeBron James and Jason Kidd. His triple-double also helped us win big on our Jokic prop bet on Monday for him to record a triple-double.

Basketball bettors, make sure to claim all sportsbook promos available in Michigan, so you’re fueled with bonuses.

Look at the moneyline on FanDuel Sportsbook in particular. Taking the moneyline on FanDuel directly ties into their new promo. New users who bet $5 on any NBA moneyline get $150 in bonus bets if their team wins. Plus, all users get a profit boost every day.

Ok yes, this bet obviously has some risk involved. However, the payout is great. First, take Jokic and his size to win the opening tip-off. Much of the team’s game runs through him and he will be relied on even heavier with Murray out. Currently, Jokic has made the first field goal for the Nuggets five times in the eight games this season.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, bet $5 on this Jokic prop and get $200 in bonus bets instantly. Plus, you’ll get a no-sweat same-game parlay bet every day this season. Just a $5 bet would payout $27.50 for Jokic to be the first field goal scorer.
