Week 13 college football lines and picks

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Hope you’re having a great day with family and friends.

Well, THAT was the bounce back week that I needed in Week 12 with an 8-2 mark. Only Duke falling flat in Charlottesville and Michigan playing a tight game at Maryland kept it from being a perfect week. With some much-needed wins, I improved my season mark to 65-60-2. Let’s keep that momentum rolling this week.

And now, on with this week’s picks...

Miami at BOSTON COLLEGE (+10.5)

I think Miami will win. I just don’t trust Miami to win a game at this point without making it scary in the process. Even against the same team and in the same stadium where Virginia Tech rolled 48-22 two weeks ago. Miami’s good enough to win this game by one score, but not more.

OLE MISS (-10) at Miss State

The Egg Bowl is usually appointment television if you want a fun, competitive game on Thanksgiving night, but it probably won’t be this year. Ole Miss’ offense is just too good, and State doesn’t have the horses to keep up.

Texas A&M at LSU (-11.5)

Texas A&M is playing out the string, while LSU is still playing relatively well. Jayden Daniels’ Heisman chances remain alive and well as the Tiger offense rolls on Saturday.

Ohio State at Michigan; OVER 45.5

I have no idea who wins this game, but I do think these teams will find a way to get the scoreboard higher than a 24-21-type of score.

ARIZONA (-10.5) at Arizona State

Jedd Fisch’s team is playing very well right now, and they shouldn’t slow down against an Arizona State team that’s pretty bad this year - their win at UCLA notwithstanding.

Kentucky at LOUISVILLE (-7.5)

The Wildcats are fading as the season ends, and the Cardinals still have everything potentially to play for. The Ville by at least 10.

ALABAMA (-14.5) at Auburn

This will be over by halftime, and the Crimson Tide won’t let up, as they look for style points with the CFP committee. The easiest pick of the week by a mile.

Vanderbilt at TENNESSEE (-27)

It wouldn’t surprise me to see freshman sensation QB Nico Iamaleava play part or most of this game, but he’s still good enough to get the job done. The Vols’ ground game will flatten Vanderbilt regardless.

GEORGIA (-24) at Georgia Tech

The Bulldogs have hit their stride with Brock Bowers back. This line might cover at halftime.

IOWA (+2.5) at Nebraska

The over/under for this came is a comically low 26 points, and I’m still too scared to touch that. I think Iowa is too good defensively and running the ball for Nebraska to pull this off.
