Wellington Cup Target For Coruba Jak
Amber Sims is a trainer, track rider, industry education co-ordinator and a horsewoman. She hopes to train a winner of the Group 3 Wellington Cup (3200m) by the end of summer. Her horse Coruba Jak won the Happy 20th Birthday SkyCity Hamilton Mile (1600m at Te Rapa on Friday. Sims has already packed a lot into her career, starting as a jockey and riding for her mother Patsy Riley. For the last year she has been the Northern Education Coordinator for New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing. She helps takes apprentice jockeys and breeding students through Equine Skills courses and other qualifications at Levels 2, 3, and 4.
