What time and TV channel is Liverpool v Real Madrid on tonight in the Champions League? Team news and betting odds

It's arguably the tie of the round tonight as Liverpool take on Real Madrid in the last-16 of the Champions League.

This is Liverpool's last real hope of a trophy this season and with back to back league wins against Everton and Newcastle they'll fancy their chances of causing something of an upset.

Real Madrid have lost just once in their last 10 matches but currently sit second in La Liga some 8 points off leaders Barcelona. They'll be well aware of their favourites status for this match but how many times have Liverpool managed to defy the odds in a European match under the lights at Anfield?

Here's everything you need to know.

Where and when is it?

Anfield, Liverpool on Tuesday 21st February.

What time is kick-off?

Kick-off is at 8pm.

What channel is it on?

The match will be shown live on RTE2 and BT Sport 1.

Team News

Liverpool welcomed back Virgil Van Dyke in their victory against Newcastle on Saturday and he's likely to feature again tonight. Salah and Gakpo are fit and expected to play but Darwin Nunez is a doubt following a shoulder injury he picked up at the weekend.

Real Madrid left-back Ferland Mendy will miss the match tonight and is also a doubt for the second-leg on March 15th due to a thigh injury. Forward Mariano Diaz is fit following injury but unlikely to start. Karim Benzema was initially a doubt for this tie but seems to be making good progress as he returns from injury. Tchouameni and Kroos have not travelled to Liverpool.
