I hope we get at least one surprise squad in the College Football Playoff this year, though.

Looking at the schedule for the Dawgs, they will likely cruise through the regular season undefeated. From there, there is still a possibility they could sneak in with a loss in the SEC Championship.

The Preseason Coaches’ Poll was released on August 8, and Georgia received 61 of the 66 first-place votes. When you begin the season ranked No. 1, people already see you ahead.

So, they have that much farther to fall back and still hold a spot in the top four. The Bulldogs could also lose in the regular season and still control their own destiny.
