World Series odds: Texas Rangers favored to beat Arizona Diamondbacks

AZ Central

The Arizona Diamondbacks have been underdogs for the entire MLB Playoffs.

The Rangers, the American League champions, enter the final MLB postseason series favored against the DBacks, who won the National League pennant, in odds for the best-of-7 Fall Classic that begins Friday in Arlington, Texas at Globe Life Field, the home of the Rangers.

The Diamondbacks are +146.

Game 1 and Game 2 will be in Texas, while the series will shift to the Diamondbacks' Chase Field in Phoenix for Game 3 and Game 4, and Game 5, if necessary. A potential Game 6 and Game 7 would be back in Texas.

World Series result odds: What will the outcome be?

As for the series result, FanDuel puts the highest odds on the Rangers winning the series, 4-2, at +390.

The Rangers winning in seven games is at +410, followed by Texas in five games at +520.

The Diamondbacks in seven games is at +570, with the Diamondbacks in six at +630 and the Diamondbacks in five at +760.

The Rangers sweeping the Diamondbacks is at +880, while Arizona sweeping Texas is given odds of +1500.

World Series odds: Who will be the MVP?

The Rangers' Corey Seager is the favorite to win the World Series MVP, according to FanDuel's odds, at +500.

His teammate, Adolis Garcia, is at +550.

The Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte and Corbin Carroll are tied for third in those odds, at +1000.

The Rangers' Marcus Semien is at +1400 odds to be the most valuable player, while the Diamondbacks' Christian Walker is given odds of +1600, along with the Rangers' Evan Carter.

No surprise, the Diamondbacks are underdogs again

Being an underdog is nothing new for the Diamondbacks, who have not been favored in a single series, or even a single game, this postseason.

That hasn't stopped them from going 9-3 in the MLB Playoffs, however, and from becoming one of the most unlikely World Series teams ever.

Will the DBacks become one of the most unlikely World Series winners next?
