WTA Chennai Day 2 Predictions Including Riske vs Gasanova
WTA Tour moves to Chennai. Alison Riske-Amritraj is the top seed. She is looking to follow up her second-week success at the US Open.
Olivia Tjandramulia is trying to avoid a fifth straight losing season. Carol Zhao has had a stronger season, with 27-17 record and two ITF titles. Tijramuli beat Ekaterina Kazionova and Yuki Naito in straight sets to qualify. Zhao is on a five-match losing streak.
Oksana Selekhmeteva and Despina Papamichail are playing in the second round of the WTA Chennai tournament. Seelkheteva had a breakout run on the main Tour in Prague and reached the quarterfinals of an ITF 60 tournament there. Papamiachail is winless in her last five matches and is struggling this season.
Magda Linette and Moyuka Uchijima are playing in the WTA Chennai tournament. Linett has had a decent summer on hard courts, reaching the quarterfinals in Prague and Cleveland, and the final at ITF 100 in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. U chijama is 44-18 on the season with two ITf 60 and one IT F 25 titles.
Alison Riske-Amritraj has had a strong season on hard courts. Anastasia Gasanova had an awful start to the season, losing ten of her first 12 matches in 2022.
