WTA Chennai Day 3 Predictions Including Peterson vs Fruhvirtova

The first round at the WTA 250 in Chennai has been completed. Top seed Alison Riske-Amritraj is out. The remaining field has strong veterans Magda Linette, Qiang Wang, and Tatjana Maria, young talents Linda Fruhvirtova and Oksana Selekhmeteva, as well as Eugienie Bouchard.

Rebecca Marino takes on Katarzyna Kawa in the third round of the WTA Chennai tournament. Marino has a 41-19 record this season. Kawa is 15-15 on the year. She beat Astra Sharma in first round.

Nao Hibino and Qiang Wang meet in their second match in three weeks. Hibinino came back from a set down to beat Wang in US Open qualifying. The 27-year-old lost to Daria Snigur who went on to defeat Simona Halep in the first round. In Chennai, Hibine won all three qualifying matches. Wang has had some nice runs on hard courts this summer, making the semifinals at WTA Prague and WT Concord.

Karman Kaur Thandi is playing her first match since injury. Eugenie Bouchard is making her comeback after 17 months. Bochard beat Joanne Zuger in her opening match in Chennai. The Canadian is expected to win the match.

Rebecca Peterson is playing Linda Fruhvirtova in the second round of the Chennai Open. Peterson beat the 2020 Australian Open Junior champion Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva in straight sets in her opener. Frouh Virtova made her slam main draw debut at the US Open earlier this month, reaching the 2nd round.
