Hideki Matsuyama is defending his title at the Zozo Championship in Japan. It was at this tournament three years ago that Tiger Woods won his 82nd and probably final PGA Tour title. Matsayama has been offered a $300m prize money to defend his Zozo title, but he is not sure if he wants to play golf anymore. He has successfully defended the title twice before, in Phoenix in 2016 and 2017. He had to miss important tournaments because of neck and wrist problems. The Saudi-backed LIV Golf operation has made persistent overtures to Matsyama. They are interested in signing him for $3m.
