Zozo Championship Odds, Picks, PGA Tour Predictions: Matsuyama Aims to Defends Title in Japan

Hideki Matsuyama returns to Japan to defend his title at the Zozo Championship in 2021. There is no cut in this event, so all 78 players will play four rounds. American Xander Schauffele is the favorite at all of the sportsbooks.

Schauffele is the consensus favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook. Eight of the 78 golfers in the field have an implied win probability of at least 4.76% at DraftKings. The bottom half of field consists of golf players from the Japan Golf Tour Organization.

Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club hosted the 2019 and 2021 editions of the Zozo Championship. The course was lengthened by 40 yards since last year's tournament. It features tight tree-lined fairways and water is in play on four holes.

Matsuyama is the leader in the Zozo Championship at Accordia Golf Narashino CC. He was the runner-up to Tiger Woods in 2019 and won last year. The key stats for the tournament are strokes gained off-the-tee, par-4 efficiency, and bogey avoidance.

Hovland is the third-ranked golfer in the field at FanDuel's tournament. He is also seventh by the odds at DraftKings and PointsBet. Hovlands has a good short game and good proximity to the greens.

Kim finished tied for eighth at last week's Shriners Children's Open. Kim played this event both years it was held in Japan, finishing T-37 in 2019 and T -18 last year. He's +3000 at PointsBet and +3100 at FanDuel. DraftKings offers him +3500 via Draft Kings.

Steele is a +7000 favorite at DraftKings. FanDuel has him at +4500. Steele's last two PGA Tour victories came at the Safeway Open in October of 2016 and 2017. He lost in a playoff to Cameron Smith at Sony Open, in January 2020.
