Colts vs. Panthers NFL Player Props, Odds

Two struggling teams meet in Week 9, and we offer our Colts-Panthers NFL player props for Week 9 based on the best NFL odds to make this game more exciting.

The Carolina Panthers are 1-6 despite their first overall pick in the 2023 draft, quarterback Bryce Young, getting off to a solid start. The Panthers did earn their first victory of the season, defeating the Houston Texans last week.

The Indianapolis Colts lost their first-round rookie quarterback, Anthony Richardson, in a Week 2 season-ending injury and have fallen to 3-5 in the process. They will look to end a three-game losing skid against a Panthers team that started the season 0-6.

NFL Week 9 predictions and NFL best bets, along with our Week 9 NFL props to accompany our best Colts vs. Panthers NFL player props for Week 9 (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Colts vs. Panthers NFL player props: Week 9

Adam Thielen and Jonathan Taylor to combine for 180+ rushing and receiving yards (+300 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Carolina Panthers have been leaning heavily on wide receiver Adam Thielen this season to help their rookie quarterback. The former Minnesota wideout is averaging 81 receiving yards as a Panther, leading the team in targets (70), receptions (57) and yards. He has posted three games of 100 or more receiving yards this year.

Carolina gets to take on a Colts’ defense that is giving up the eighth-most passing yards per game this season. In Week 8, New Orleans wide receiver Rashid Shaheed lit them up for 153 yards.

Since returning from his injury, Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has gained 316 all-purpose yards in four games. However, his production has gained momentum these last two weeks. Taylor rushed for 75 yards against Cleveland, adding another 45 through the air. Last week, he ran for 95 yards against the Saints while tacking on another two receiving yards.

The Panthers are surrendering the fourth-most rushing yards in the league per game this season (139.4). Carolina has allowed four opposing running backs to gain at least 90 yards on the ground against them.

Gardner Minshew and Bryce Young Over 44.5 total combined completions (-115 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Minshew took over as the starting quarterback for the Colts in Week 2 against the Texans. The former Jaguar signal-caller has thrown for at least half of this total in three of those six games. He completed 19 passes in three quarters after taking over for the injured Anthony Richardson against Houston. The Panthers allow opposing quarterbacks to complete an average of 19.8 passes per game this season.

Carolina rookie Bryce Young is averaging 22.8 completions per game this season. He has connected on at least 22 of his pass attempts in all but one of his appearances this year. Young will take on a Colts defense that gives up 22.8 completions per game in their 2023 campaign.
