Irish Grand National full result and places as trainer Dermot McLoughlin wins €500,000 race for second year running

Lord Lariat won the Irish Grand National at odds of 40/1. It's the second year running that local trainer Dermot McLoughlin has won this race. Last year he won it with Freewheelin Dylan. Gaillard Du Mesnil finished third, Frontal Assault came second, Screaming Colours came fourth and Early Doors came fifth. He also won Easter Sunday double at Fairyhouse. Paddy O'Hanlon rode Lord Lariar.

Last year's Devenish Chase winner Easy Game won the race. Janidil crashed out in the back straight. Darasso won Rathbarry & Glenview Studs Hurdle for trainer Joseph O'Brien. Gordon Elliott’s Iberique Du Seuil caused a minor upset in Donohue Marquees Juvenile Hursle. Triumph Hrsle fourth Icare Allen was all the rage as the 4-11 favourite. Thedevilscoachman was both significant non-runners. He was ridden by Luke Dempsey. The winner was Santa Rossa.
