Mounties and Athenians advance in tennis sectional
Crawfordsville and Southmont won their sectional matches on Wednesday. Crawford's beat North Montgomery 5-0 and the Mounties beat Parke Heritage 4-1. On Thursday Crawford's and S.mont will play for the sectionals title. The Chargers finished their season with a record of 6-16. They doubled their win total from a season ago. They lost three seniors to graduation. Their coach Dane Baldwin is proud of the improvement of his team. He hopes to improve the team next season. It was a close match between Craword’s and Northmont last season, but the result was decided at three singles.
