The 2023 college football season is just around the corner, and now is as good a time as ever to take a glance at futures bets.

Here are the 2023 Alabama odds as well as some different betting options.

2023 Alabama win total picks: Over 10.5 wins (+148 or better)

Ahead of the season’s kickoff, questions remain on who will be the starting quarterback.

Bryce Young, a Heisman Trophy winner, left the Crimson Tide and now suits up for the Carolina Panthers after being selected No. 1 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. Life without Young isn’t as clear as other years with a quarterback change, as the Tide have a number of different options.

Tyler Buchner Jr., Jalen Milroe and Ty Simpson all might end up taking snaps at some point this year.

And there’s a good chance Alabama’s offense looks a bit different.

Head coach Nick Saban brought in a new offensive coordinator in Tommy Rees. The Tide return their top two receivers from last year (Jermaine Burton and Ja’Corey Brooks), while also retaining tailbacks Jase McClellan, Roydell Williams and Jam Miller.

The Tide also landed junior college transfer wide receiver Malik Benson. Expect Alabama, under Rees’ guidance offensively, to emphasize the run. Especially with questions at quarterback.

As par for the course for most offseasons under Saban, Alabama lost a number of defensive playmakers to the NFL Draft. That being said, Alabama returns Kool-Aid McKinstry -- one of the nation’s top defensive backs -- and he will likely lead another solid unit.

Alabama isn’t the consensus pick to win the SEC this season. Georgia will be loaded yet again, and LSU showed great promise last year.

And yet, the Crimson Tide will always be in the mix with Saban.

Alabama’s schedule isn’t as tough (if that’s possible in the SEC) as years past, facing both LSU and Tennessee at home. There’s value picking the Tide to hit more than 10 wins this season.

Alabama Cromson Tide CFP odds: (+600 or better)

Alabama has the second-best odds to win the 2024 College Football Playoff at +600.

That’s incredible value, especially considering how often the Crimson Tide find themselves in the national championship game.

But Alabama, at least on paper, isn’t as strong this season as in years past. That doesn’t mean the Crimson Tide can’t win it all, but it will be difficult.

There’s plenty of parity in college football this season. Most sportsbooks give at least four teams +1000 odds or better to win the championship. Alabama will certainly be in the mix, but it will likely be a cluttered playing field.
